What is Transcendental Meditation® or TM®?
The Transcendental Meditation technique is the world’s most widely practiced, extensively researched, and broadly prescribed program for the reduction of stress, the prevention of disease, the promotion of health, and the development of full human potential-total brain functioning-for greater happiness and success in all areas of life.
How is it practiced
The Transcendental Meditation technique is a simple, natural technique, practiced for 15 to 20 minutes morning and evening while sitting comfortable with the eyes closed. The Transcendental Meditation technique is easy to learn, effortless to practice, and does not require specific beliefs of changes in behavior or lifestyle.
Who practices TM?
More than six million people worldwide, of all ages, cultures, religions, and educational backgrounds, have learned the Transcendental Meditation Technique.
Why should I practice TM vs. other forms of Meditation?
More than 600 scientific research studies, conducted at over 250 universities and medical schools, validate the benefits of the TM programs for mind, body, behavior, and society. Some of the findings of these studies include optimization of brain functioning, decreased blood pressure among hypertensive’s, reduced rates of death, heart attack, & stroke, reduced psychological stress, increased self-actualization, and reduced drug and alcohol use. |
Creative Meditation
The benefits of Mediation are endless including reduced anxiety, enhanced energy/vigor, and weight balance. Since Mediation is so amazing, why isn’t everyone doing it?? The idea of sitting cross legged with our eyes closed while thinking about nothing is hard or even impossible for many of us. The good news is there are many CREATIVE ways to experience MEDITATION. These can include guided mediation, drumming, chanting, walking, practicing breath work, gazing at artwork and beyond. Allow the experts at Haleybird Studios to assist you in reclaiming your health, vitality, and inner peace by sharing with you the many ways we practice CREATIVE MEDITATION. Classes will be 45-60 minutes and are an excellent opportunity for all to experience different paths to inner harmony from a variety of experts.

Oct. 27 – Dennis Hawk, Musician, Yoga Teacher, Spiritual Teacher. Dennis will be guiding the group through Kirtan and music inspired mediations.
Nov. 3 – Carol Nace, Carol Nace, Owner of Bodhi Ayurveda and Certified Ayurveda Practitioner. Carol will be guiding the group through a hands on demonstration of a technique to rid the body of manufactured prana, which comes from all the electonic devices we expose ourself to everyday. By using herbal transdermal creams and marma points the manufactured prana can be removed and let the real prana flow!
Nov. 10 – Carissa, Reiki Master, Ayurvedic Practitioner, Co-Founder of Raising Energy Aware Kids. Carissa will be leading the group through Qi Qong and a guided meditation. Qi Qong is an Ancient Chinese Healthcare system that integrates physical postures, breath work and focused intention while cultivating and balancing our energy .
